Eldar...?
My secondary interest for this campaign is leaning towards the Eldar. I've looked at the locations of the various Craftworlds, and the only major one that's in the right segmentum is Saim-Hann. And that suits me fine, 'cause they're all about jet bikes and Vypers, and that gets me excited. Not much needs to be done to them story-wise - if I ever get to them, all I need to do is buy and paint them. In a few years. ;)

Except that my sample Saim-Hann army has 18 regular jetbikes at $18 each, 8 better-armed ones at $25 each, 6 Vypers at $45 each, and an Autarch for $40.
That's $834. Plus tax.
I'd vote for Saim-Hann- of course b/c I play them. Consider buying the Apocalypse windrider host box set to get started for 1/3 the cost.
I am planning on doing an Eldar Mercenary army, maybe after the cultists. It will be mostly the older eldar stuff from the 80s though.
Oh, good thinking on the Windrider host. If I ever actually do this, that's clearly the way to go.
