Cleaning Mondays, and Zoats

For some reason I always seem to end up having to clean the house on my 'no electronic mondays' ; )

I did manage to get my 10 man squad of Kasrkin all cleaned up, as well as the Cadian Command HQ boxed set. I also found a bunch of other stuff I forgot I bought from Dave. Some servitors, a couple priests and 11 plastic cadian infantry, already assembled. More importantly, a couple of 40k Zoats. Pure 100% awesome. I really hope the rumours about Zoats being part of the new IG codex are true :)

Fire brigade

So I am thinking of my force as being a sort of rapid deployment 'Fire Brigade' that is designed for plugging holes in the lines. It will probably be fully mechanized and focused more on elites and equipment than hordes of grunts. Partly because I don't want to play or paint hordes of grunts, and partly because I think it will be cool.

So there will probably not be a literal 'fire' theme to them.

I won't be singin' the blues

Or any other music for that matter. I have kicked off the start of my Completion or Castration army by assembling 20 Imperial Guardsmen (Not all of them made the picture). Man, I forgot what a tedious task it was to clean and assemble them. They look great of course, but still.

I have included the Hydra I will be fielding as well. It still needs the tracks done, but I will do them on sprue I think. Plus this is how it was when I got it from Dave.

I have another 20 Guardsmen already assembled and largely painted, plus a Leman Russ. Not sold on the Baneblade as part of my 1500 points, I may save it for a bump up to 2000. In fact, I don't even have the 1500 points worked out yet. I have 10 Kasrkin, so look for them to be added at some point.

My army theme is going to be fire related. They won't have fiery uniforms or anything, but maybe an insignia of some sort. Still working on the backstory, but I will get something up when I flesh it out a bit more.
